The Association of Private Clubs & Directors is dedicated to informing, educating and representing boards and executives of private clubs. Founded in 1997, the APCD supplies education and resources to America’s 7000 private golf, country, yacht and city clubs.

The Boardroom Magazine is the official publication of the APCD and remains the ONLY publication to directly target the board of directors at private and semi-private golf and country clubs in the United States and Canada. APCD Client Services is the sales and marketing arm of the Association of Private Clubs & Directors.

Targeted Advertising – As a client of APCD Client Services your organization will have FREE editorial and advertising opportunities in the APCD’s award winning “THE BOARDROOM” magazine. Levels of free advertising depend on the level of your participation in our programs. Additionally all APCD Client Services clients will receive a free directory listing in The Boardroom magazine.

Targeted Press Releases – APCD Client Services will leverage our industry peers of editors and feature writers at major golf industry trade publications to run press releases and relevant trade stories featuring your firm.

BoardRoom Briefs – This monthly “e-newsletter” will feature many of the same departments you read in our print magazines, as well as special features and links available only online. This interactive service will include facts and figures on the golf/private club industry as well as logos for our APCD Clients. Readers will be able to click on your name and link directly to your site. “Boardroom Briefs” will be a complimentary service available to all The Boardroom magazine subscribers.

Strategic Partnerships – As a client of APCD Client Services, you will have the benefit of APCD representation with some of the industry’s key strategic partners. The APCD has endorsements and strategic partnerships with all of the key associations in the golf industry. We provide YOU with access to the nation’s private club general managers and to leading industry manufactures and service providers. These key partnerships provide a never-ending conduit for our word of mouth referrals and behind the scene efforts. As a key figure in these informal data sharing networks, the APCD constantly has its ear to the ground, and is able to alert our clients to proposed plans and projects that may be significant revenue sources for you team.

Custom Magazines – Vendors associated with our APCD Client Services are afforded the opportunity to leverage our private club distribution models to get your product or service in front of the key influencers and decision makers in the form of editorial opportunities in highly targeted, category specific, custom designed publications for your area of interest in our industry. Various levels of participation are available, but for the most part, think of it as your private news agency. We position your company and products in a non-threatening, board member education vehicle. Our Custom Magazines include Club Gourmet, Greens and Grounds, Club Technology Institute and Executive Decisions magazines are example of custom publications we have designed for our current clients.

APCD Client Services Supplier Membership – As a client of APCD Client Services, you will be a Supplier Sponsor of the Association of Private Clubs & Directors.

Speaking Opportunities – The APCD is often asked to recommend speakers at national, chapter and regional meetings for our strategic partners at various associations within the golf club industry. As a regular course of practice, the APCD incorporates their client presentations into the larger industry presentations, enabling our clients to build both credibility and legitimacy with these key influential attendees. Additionally, the APCD consults on your individual presentation for local chapters and helps you acquire speaking opportunities locally.

Industry Association Contacts – Much like the private club itself, personal referrals is the key to entrance in this industry.
